MINUTES of the City of Crystal Lake Park, Missouri Special Meeting of the Board of Aldermen Monday, September 20, 2006
ROLL CALL: Mayor and Alderpersons: Present: Mayor Matt Balcer, and Alderpersons Bonnie Taylor, Jim Gehringer and Jim Leonard. Absent: Alderperson Sandy Spitzer. City Officials: Present: City Clerk Lois LaDriere and City Attorney Dan Human. Mayor Balcer asked for a vote to approve the Meeting Agenda for September 20, 2006. A Motion was made by Alderperson Leonard to approve the Agenda, and seconded by Alderperson Gehringer, following which the all Alderpersons voted aye. The Agenda was thus approved. City Attorney Human explained why the special meeting of the Board had been called, which was to repeal Ordinance No. 385 and to adopt a new ordinance establishing the annual rates of tax levy for the year 2006 on all property within the City of Crystal Lake Park, Missouri; provide for the extension of said taxes on the books of the Collector by the County Clerk; and to provide for the collection thereof. City Attorney Human then distributed an Ordinance to be voted on by members of the Board. Mayor Balcer asked if there were any questions concerning the Ordinance and, there being none, Alderperson Leonard made a Motion to read Bill No. 411 by title only for the first time, which was seconded by Alderperson Gehringer, following which all Alderpersons voted as follows: Alderperson Leonard – aye; Alderperson Gehringer – aye; Alderperson Taylor - aye. City Attorney Human then read the bill. AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 385 AND ADOPTING A NEW ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ANNUAL RATES OF TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 2006 ON ALL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF CRYSTAL LAKE PARK, MISSOURI; PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF SAID TAXES ON THE BOOKS OF THE COLLECTOR BY THE COUNTY CLERK; AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF. A Motion was made by Alderperson Leonard to read Bill No. 411 by title only for the second time. Alderperson Gehringer seconded the Motion and the Alderpersons voted as follows: Alderperson Leonard – aye; Alderperson Gehringer – aye; Alderperson Taylor – aye; City Attorney Human then read the bill. Alderperson Gehringer seconded the Motion and the Alderpersons voted as follows: Alderperson Leonard – aye; Alderperson Gehringer – aye; Alderperson Taylor – aye; City Attorney Human then read the bill. AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 385 AND ADOPTING A NEW ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ANNUAL RATES OF TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 2006 ON ALL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF CRYSTAL LAKE PARK, MISSOURI; PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF SAID TAXES ON THE BOOKS OF THE COLLECTOR BY THE COUNTY CLERK; AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF. Mayor Balcer then declared the bill adopted as Ordinance No. 386. Passed and approved by the Board of Alderpersons of the City of Crystal Lake Park, Missouri this 20th day of September 2006. There being no further on the Agenda for discussion, a motion was made by Alderperson Leonard, and seconded by Alderperson Jim Gehringer to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed unanimously.
