Friendly Snake Spotted in CLP

Residents Bonnie Taylor and Lydia Ruffin reported seeing a large snake by Boland Bridge when there were walking their dog on the evening of April 28, 2015 and again in the same spot on the morning of April 29.  They were concerned because it is at least a yard long and is near where kids park their scooters on Country Club Dr.  They took a picture (see attachment below) and resident snake expert Greg King was able to determine that it is a King snake (no relation) which is non venomous and is a boon to the community since it eats small rodents.  So, if you see it, let it be.  It's a friend, not a foe.
