St. Louis County Department of Public Health COVID-19 Update

Enjoy Summer Safely

With additional guidance of the reopening of summer camps and aquatic centers expected in the near future, please move into the summer season safely. Plan activities and outings that you can do safely so you can focus on having fun. Take steps to protect not only yourself but the people around you from COVID-19.

Look for activities that allow for natural physical distancing.

    • St. Louis County has many outdoor spaces that you and your family can enjoy while practicing social distancing.
    • Look for outdoor recreation spots that are less crowded so you can easily stay more than 6 feet away from other people.
    • Choose sports like baseball and tennis that don’t require close physical contact between players. Don’t forget to wash your hands after.
    • Plan for physical distancing but be prepared to be around others safely.
    • Before you go out, pack a summer safety kit with hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, tissues and a clean face mask.
    • Don’t forget to pack your usual summer safety items like bug spray, sunscreen and plenty of water.

Utilities, Rent and Food Assistance

As the St. Louis County continues to reopen, there is still a great need in the community for assistance in many areas including utilities, rent and food. The CARES Act, signed into law Mar. 27, 2020, provides 120 days of eviction relief for tenants in federally-backed housing.
