Occupancy Inspections—Reminder, home owners are responsible for having an Occupancy Inspection completed prior to the sale of a home or a change in occupancy in a rental home.  The Inspection costs $100.  Residents have to come to Frontenac City Hall to pay and schedule the Inspection. The buyer needs to apply for an Occupancy Permit. All the forms are on the website.

Temporary Occupancy Permits—At the June 4, 2018 Board of Alderpersons meeting Ordinance 580 was passed to provide for Temporary Occupancy Permits.  It rescinds the City’s prohibition against Temporary Occupancy Permits and provides provisions for issuing Temporary Occupancy Permits in cases of substantial compliance.  A copy of Ordinance 580 is attached below.

Please see the link "Permits, Forms & Procedures" under the Municipal Resources tab on the city's website for more information and forms regarding the Occupancy Inspection and Permit regulations.
