St. Louis County Department of Public Health COVID-19 Update

Continued Use of Face Masks

Each one of us has been called upon to slow the spread of the virus through the combination of social distancing and prevention hygiene, like frequently washing your hands and wearing face coverings. As the region begins to slowly open back up, DPH continues to stress the importance of wearing face masks while in public. This simple act lowers the risk of spreading COVID-19 and helps to keep everyone safe including our most at risk residents. Basic masks can also help to preserve N-95 masks for those who must work in direct contact with confirmed COVID-19 patients. Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials offer a low cost option. For more information visit: www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html.
