The July 4th Holiday
WILL NOT affect Veolia's
pickup schedule. It's business as usual because the holiday falls
on Saturday this year.

Personal use
of Fireworks is illegal in St. Louis County
Everyone knows that because they have to drive to St. Charles,
Jefferson, or some other County in Missouri to buy them!
There are many public displays so it isn't necessary to do your own.
Think before you do it--one of your neighbors could be ill and would be
disturbed by the noise; many pets are afraid of the noise, too.
You, your family members, and your friends run the risk of personal
injury. Every year, adults and children end up in the ER with
injuries from fireworks accidents.
If you're going to do it anyway, please
Be Safe. Read this presentation on
Fireworks
Safety by the Kirkwood Police Department.

CRIME ALERT
Update 6-30-2009: No
further incidents have been reported.
In the early hours of
Wednesday June 17th, an unknown person or persons vandalized
property on Country Club Dr and Oak Dr.
Car windows were smashed in two incidents--one
on the 2100 block of Oak and one on the 11900 block of Country Club. At
the home on Oak, an obscenity was spray painted on the tie wall. These
incidents have been reported to the Frontenac Police Department and an
investigation is under way. (Posted 6-17-2009)

**In the near
future, links
to all current CLP and St. Louis County codes will be uploaded. CLP
recently acquired the capability to update all ordinances on a regular
basis so that pertinent and useful information will be reliable. Although much of this information is already published online and in our
neighborhood telephone directory, updated procedures for permitting,
plans submission, and occupancy also will be uploaded. We will include
as well a line on the menu bar entitled: 'Things You Need to Know about
Crystal Lake Park.' In the meantime, if you have any questions about
events, permitting, or code enforcement that you cannot find answers to
online, do not hesitate to contact the City Clerk (993-1160).
**For better and quicker information, please use the CLP website and
community bulletin board at the main entrance of CLP. On occasion the City
will mail a postcard. We hope to have at least two Newsletters a year. We
are discovering that community e-mails circulate last minute information
effectively e.g., the recent MSD work on Boland Bridge. If you would like to
be added to the CLP e-mail distribution list, please contact the CLP
Communications Coordinator,
Jonathan Carey-Voris.
(Note: Being on the distribution list will NOT cause your e-mail address
to be published.)

Information
WELCOME to the City of Crystal Lake Park, nestled between the communities
of Town & Country and Des Peres, MO. A City that began as a resort area
with summer homes has grown to 457 residents living in year-round homes.
The City retains a unique, almost quaint quality, with its tall trees and
diverse architecture. There is a real sense of community as neighbors
greet each other and wave to passers-by. A diverse community, the City
appeals to families with children because it is within the boundaries of
the prestigious Ladue School District. The City also boasts its own park
and annually sponsors picnics, parades, and a spring beautification
project by giving plants to willing gardeners.
COMMUNITY LOCATION
Crystal Lake Park, Missouri is located in West St. Louis County. Tucked
away but easy to find, the City of Crystal Lake Park is just southeast of
the Interstate 270 and 64/40 interchange. Lambert St. Louis International
Airport and the Clayton business district are short 20 minute drives;
downtown St. Louis can be reached in 40 minutes.
For more information call or e-mail City Clerk,
Cathryn Terrell,
